The company's Information Technology Department is a special-purpose division that was created in 1996. The Department is responsible for research, development, implementation and maintenance of information & analytical systems, predominantly for shipping companies, but also for enterprises in other industries.
The Department's specialists have designed, developed and continue to maintain an in-house information system, which includes over 30 software packages. These packages are designed to automate all aspects of company's work including.

The system is based on a local area network running Windows XP 2000/NT and Sybase SQL anywhere in a client/server architecture. All applications have been developed utilizing a suite of Sybase tools such as PowerBuilder, Power++ and PowerDesigner.
IT Department employees are experts in the field of database and software design and development. All members of staff have relevant professional qualifications and specialized university degrees. Fields of expertise include relational databases, operational systems, SQL, PowerBuilder, Pascal, Java, C ++, (various compilers), Visual Basic, HTML and many others.
Their expertise allows the Department to custom-develop various applied systems. Through the course of its life the department has been involved in several large sea transport enterprise automation projects, including the development of an activity management software package for a crewing company. The program provided crewing database management capabilities, crew selection based on the set criteria, defining of crew role capacities, monitoring legitimacy and license agreements of necessary certifications as well as conducting electronic document circulation and printing all necessary documentation on crew placements with various ship owners.
Department employees are regular participants at exhibitions, conferences and seminars conducted by leading global hardware and software developers such as Microsoft, Sybase, Cisco and others. This enables them to keep abreast of all recent developments in the field and actively employ the latest advancements in the field of information technology for the Department's work.
